This policy explains how Speed Army Ltd ("Speed Army", "we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you visit speedarmy.co.uk or buy from us. We are the controller of your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Order and contact details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if given) and order history.
  • Design details: the choices you make in our online designers and on product pages, such as your vehicle or motorcycle model, colours, and any text, numbers or names you want cut or printed.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Shopify Payments and the other payment providers shown at checkout. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email, the contact form or social media.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it and our lawful basis

  • To make, send and support your order, including returns and refunds: performance of a contract.
  • To keep accounting and tax records: legal obligation.
  • To answer your questions, prevent fraud, keep the site secure and improve our products and website: legitimate interests.
  • To send marketing emails and to use non-essential cookies for analytics and advertising: consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or the cookie settings on the site.

Who we share it with

We only share personal data with service providers who help us run the shop, and only as much as they need:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders and payments;
  • payment providers such as Shopify Payments and PayPal;
  • delivery companies, which receive your name, address and contact details to deliver your parcel;
  • apps that provide features on our site, such as product reviews and product personalisation;
  • analytics and advertising partners (for example Google, Meta, TikTok and NextRoll), only where you have consented to those cookies;
  • authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our providers, including Shopify, process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for UK tax purposes. Messages are kept for up to 2 years after our last contact. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the shop to work (for example the basket and checkout) and, with your consent, cookies for analytics and advertising. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the cookie banner and change your choice at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email speedarmydecals@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

Our site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
